Local facilities

The LSPES modelling facilities include:

• a group of three workstations dedicated to the Dislocations Dynamics
  • Hewlett-Packard ZX6000 bi-processeur Intel Itanium II
  • IBM e-server pSeries 615 bi-processeur Power4+.
  • Sun Java w2100z bi-processeur Opteron X86_64
• 12 nodes HP server Proliant bi-processeur Intel Xeon
  
   
  
   
• a beowulf cluster including 14 nodes 86 Intel Xeon cores

University facilities

A parallel IBM supercomputer is installed at the Centre de Ressources Informatiques de l'Université de Lille. The computer is dedicated to researchers in the Nord-Pas-de-Calais region.

We use this facility for atomic calculations.

National facilities

IDRIS is the major CNRS facility for high performance computing with a collection of various supercalculators dedicated to scientific research.

Projects at Idris provide us hours of computation time.
