Research

Multi-scale study of damage to metallic materials under mechanical stress coupled with environmental effects. - Study and understanding of the mechanical behavior of metal alloys in contact with liquid metal: Liquid Metal Embrittlement and Liquid Metal Accelerated Damage. - Damage under mechanical stress and environmental effects other than liquid metals, in particular the study of the effect of hydrogen, the presence of molten glass, and the presence of molten salts. - Study of damage phenomena in aqueous corrosive environments (particularly NaCl-type environments). - Understanding plastic accommodation and damage, particularly in steels, through analyses performed using atomic force microscopy.
